The Challenge

Maintaining the long held moniker of “America’s Largest Family Waterpark,” Water World gave ADG the task to:

  • Develop an innovative ride to differentiate Water World from competitors and attract a wide range of demographic ages.
  • Utilize an existing property layout to incorporate new attraction.
  • Create opportunities to generate additional revenue.

The Solution

The first of its kind, boogie boarding surf ride, Breaker Beach, branded ‘Cowabunga Beach’ by Water World, employs ADG’s exclusive WaveTek™ wave generation technology to provide riders with the perfect surf wave every time! This skill based, action oriented attraction appeals to guests of all ages and experience levels. ADG also added the all new “Mini Harbour” wave pool, created specifically for families with toddlers and young children.

The Result

Together the two attractions created the family destination appeal Water World sought out to create. The functional layout of the two rides allows for effortless guest flow between amenities while providing additional revenue generating opportunities from cabanas and F&B.

An average of 720 riders/hour dispatch from the boogie boarding attraction, and the Mini Harbour wave pool is consistently full to capacity.
