GREAT ESCAPE Award-winning

ADG Project Solutions: Design/Build Indoor Water Park
Size: 35,000 sqft

To add to the success of Six Flags Great Escape in Queensbury, NY, and take advantage of a four season market, Six Flags undertook to build an indoor waterpark. ADG was engaged to design and build a 35,000 sqft Adirondack-themed indoor waterpark and create a year-round attraction with multi-demographic appeal.

Staying true to the Adirondack theme, ADG designed the concept of the indoor waterpark within a 35,000 sqft building complete with wood beams, trussed ceilings, and walls adorned with canoes, fishing rods, paddles, realistic rock-scaping, a 5,000 sqft mezzanine and Texlon transparent roofing system.

ADG designed and built the indoor water park incorporating a new multi-level play structure which is surrounded by a 450ft zero-entry adventure river, FlowRider® wave system, slide complex and an activity pool. For efficiency, and beauty, about 50% of the lodging roof incorporates Texlon™ transparent material allowing 75% of UV rays to penetrate the facility, permitting plant growth and allowing natural light to shine through for visitors to enjoy year-round.

Since completion, ADG's design build project at the Great Escape Lodge has maintained the success of the Six Flags brand while drawing a year-round following. The lodge continues to welcome a steady stream of visitors from around the region looking to add indoor water fun to their outdoor adventures.

The Six Flags Great Escape Lodge & Indoor Waterpark is the perfect family vacation spot. All year round, our guests find great value, comfortable lodging and the best in family entertainment right here.
