ADG Wins 2023 WWA Leading Edge Award For Roaring Springs!

Aquatic Development Group (ADG) is proud to announce that their work as designer/builder of this outdoor waterpark expansion project has won the World Waterpark Association’s Leading Edge Award. ADG received award for their work on Roaring Springs Waterpark (Meridian, ID), accepting their recognition during the WWA show’s opening general session!

Roaring Springs Water Park based in Meridian, Idaho opened for the summer season debuting a brand new expansion of attractions and amenities designed and built by Aquatic Development Group (ADG). This expansion included a multi-level play structure, an action river, an activity pool, Geyser Grill & Bar, and other amenities which completes Phase 1 of a 7-part phased expansion plan to be completed over the next 10-15 years. Roaring Springs is currently the largest waterpark in the Northwest and with the expansion plan will increase in size by nearly 40%, making it one of the largest waterparks in the United States.

ADG designed, built, and supplied their wave generation system for Roaring Spring’s Class 5 Canyon; Idaho’s first action river with features such as action waves where guests can ride with kickboards. This 14,250 sqft adventure river uses ADG’s Breakers™ river wave generation system and boosters for a fun, thrilling fast river experience. “There’s nothing lazy about this river,” Quilici said. “It’s a wave action adventure.”

Roaring Spring’s new expansion area features many exciting rides, attractions and amenities for guests of all ages – especially the littlest ones! One of the big kid’s area additions is Camp IdaH2O, an 8,000 sqft interactive multi-level play structure including theming with iconic Idaho animals and birds, seven intermediate slides, 100 play features, and a potato head themed dump bucket.

Another exciting addition to the park is the Critter Crossing, which is a 3,200 ft activity pool featuring forest-themed floating features and water basketball.

In addition to the new rides, Roaring Springs also added 16 luxury cabanas with cushioned sectionals and wait service from the new Geyser Grill & Bar, upscale pool deck furniture, restrooms, and additional parking.

These new rides and amenities are planning to increase customer return rate and enhance the guest experience. The expansions are also leading to an increase in jobs, adding 150 positions to their workforce. “I think this is our most exciting season that we’ve ever opened with the anticipation of our new expansion,” Tiffany Quilici, Roaring Springs Waterpark Marketing Director, said.

Throughout the 7-phase plan, there will be different additions in each phase. Phases 2-5 include some of the newest, most thrilling water rides in the world. Phases 6-7 provide additional parking.

ADG and Roaring Springs have collaborated on several exciting ideas and projects in the past including the latest expansion and we are excited to open the new area this summer 2023 season!
