ADG Hosts World's Largest Swimming Lesson to Promote Water Safety & Mitigate Drownings!

Aquatic Development Group (ADG), the company that designs and builds world-class waterparks, teams up with the Boys & Girls Club of the Capital Region to host the 15th annual World’s Largest Swimming Lesson. The event, organized by the World Waterpark Association, is designed to promote water safety swim lessons in order to mitigate drownings, underscoring the community's dedication to enjoying aquatic facilities safely.

The Event Highlights

The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson was a resounding success, with parks around the globe like Wet N’ Wild Waterworld and Zoombezi Bay taking part in the initiative. ADG’s event with The Boys and Girls Club of Troy, NY was also a successful event, featuring participants of all ages learning vital swimming skills in a fun and safe environment. The event featured engaging swim lessons led by experienced instructors, interactive water safety demonstrations, and plenty of opportunities for participants to ask questions and practice their new skills. The enthusiasm and positive feedback from attendees highlight the impact and importance of this initiative and all the participants left proudly with their own WLSL certificate of completion for the 2024 worldwide event.

Our Mission and Impact

Drowning remains one of the leading causes of accidental death worldwide, especially among children. By hosting a World’s Largest Swimming Lesson location, ADG aimed to raise awareness about the critical importance of swim education and safety. Learning to swim is not only a fun and enjoyable activity but also a life-saving skill. This event is part of ADG's ongoing commitment to creating the highest quality aquatic environments for everyone while putting safety at the forefront.

 

About the World’s Largest Swim Lesson

The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson (WLSL) event, organized by the World Waterpark Association (WWA), is designed to build awareness and generate media attention about the importance of teaching children how to swim and how to help prevent drowning. There are host locations throughout the world on June 20th emphasizing that swim lessons are a key factor in drowning prevention and that swimming is a critical, lifelong skill wherever you go.
