ADG MANAGES TO KEEP AHEAD OF CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE ADMIST RECORD BREAKING RAINY SEASON AND GLOBAL PANDEMIC TO OPEN PARK FOR 2020

Aquatic Development Group (ADG) is proud to announce that their work as design/builder on Soaky Mountain Waterpark (Sevierville, TN), America’s ONLY new waterpark to open in 2020, has won the World Waterpark Association’s Leading Edge Award for 2020.

ADG designed and built Soaky Mountain Waterpark including, not only the building of all water features, but also assuming the role of construction manager for the full park build. Built during the wettest year of Sevierville’s history, and through a worldwide pandemic, this park build is a testament to the construction team’s ability to adapt and see projects through to completion, even in the toughest and unprecedented circumstances.

Soaky Mountain features all the very latest ride and design innovations, making this waterpark truly World- Leading. Home to several industry-first attractions and a new modern-design approach, the Soaky Mountain Waterpark sets the stage for future waterparks to come.

This $90 million waterpark is home to over a dozen water attractions including two iconic wave rides – ADG’s 35,000 square foot Shorebreak™ Wave Pool with waves up to 6 feet high, and ADG’s Tidal River® spanning over 1,200 linear feet with 3’ roller waves, both powered by WaveTek®. Other featured attractions include a dual-Wibit® inflatable water obstacle course, a flat-water adult cabana pool, a double FlowRider® surf ride and several ProSlide water slides – including two of the world’s first.
