Camelback to Purchase Alpine Products Mountain Coaster IN THE NEWS | AQUATIC DEVELOPMENT GROUP | January 17, 2011

Tannersville, PA – Camelback Mountain Resort is pleased to announce they have entered into an agreement with Alpine Products to purchase an Alpine Supercoaster mountain coaster.

The US manufactured Alpine Supercoaster will become an anchor attraction in the Camelback Adventure Park.  “With the technological advancements Alpine Products has made with their Supercoaster, it was a clear decision to have them supply a mountain coaster for our adventure park.”  said Art Berry, President of Camelback.  The Supercoaster is planned to open to the public in the late fall of 2011.

Alpine Products of Vermont has installed their first Alpine Supercoaster at Attitash Ski Area in New Hampshire.  The track is a 4,300 ft loop with many different features including over 15 high bank turns, a 94-foot free span skier underpass, and a 360 turn circle.  The Supercoaster Carts are towed up over 300 feet of vertical elevation on the uphill track with the riders in the cart.  The carts are then released and the rider controls the speed of the cart with a braking system creating an exciting ride. Alpine Products Supercoaster is the only mountain coaster to offer this safety feature.  The Supercoaster was open to public last November with the riders finishing the ride with big smiles and ready to go for another ride.
