
The Benefits of Re-Positioning to a Multi-Season Resort
Climate change and competition for leisure dollars are the two reasons why summer activities, and the resulting re-positioning of winter resorts as multi-season resorts, are necessary. What that means for each individual resort, though, is different.
I imagine there are a few mountains that don’t need to operate in summer. And there’s a group that can’t. But if you fall into the broad category of those that need to and can, please don’t let the inconvenience or perceived risk of making such changes stop you from thinking about the issues I’ve raised. After all, the biggest risk may be taking no risk at all.
