Equipment Systems
Filtration Systems
Aquatic Development Group offers unequalled experience in public pool filtration equipment. Whitten's field-tested filtration systems include Vacuum Filtration and Pressure Filtration Systems. And since a single filter design will not fit every pool type and equipment location, ADG will custom engineer a filtration system to your specifications.

Multi-Cell Filters
(click here for product PDF) The Multi-Cell filter was first introduced to the industry by Whitten as an innovative means for saving space and adding efficiency. This was accomplished through a unique design of stacking multiple chambers/filter beds in a single filter tank. In addition to the space saving design, these NSF listed filters allow for significantly reduced backwash volumes and the flexibility of backwashing each cell independently. These proven, reliable systems are available in carbon steel and stainless steel and can be internally and externally coated with a variety of protective coatings. |

Multi-Flow Filters
(click here for product PDF) Whitten Multi-Flow filters offer all the same features as the Multi-Cell’s yet they are capable of achieving even lower total backwash volumes. This is accomplished through the patented design that eliminates the chambers and locates the filter laterals between two media beds. Bi-directional flow during filtration changes to a single direction during backwash allowing both media beds to be flushed simultaneously and with the same water. The savings in water, chemicals and water temperature make-up, provide the facility significant operational cost reductions. |

HVS
Filtration System

For filtration of large aquatic complexes the Whitten High Rate Vacuum Sand Filter is perhaps the industry's most used system. These filters are high volume water purification plants that can centrally filter multiple pools or aquatic attractions. They have an impressive filtration capacity of up to 3000 GPM and are field constructed concrete chambers/vaults. Multiple configurations and control options are available with the HVS system. |

HVS-M
Filtration System

Much like the larger HVS system, the HVS-M is a field constructed concrete chamber/vault system that delivers high flow vacuum filtration in a centrally located mechanical room. They are generally smaller configurations than the HVS filter and the area of the vaults start at only 30 square feet. The HVS-M delivers to the aquatic designer high turnover rates with affordable and efficient operation. |

HVS-B
Filtration System

Vacuum filtration can be achieved in a tank configuration when using Whitten High Rate Vacuum Bi-Flow Filters (HVS-B). These stainless steel systems may be installed above-deck, at deck level or with vented closed-tank systems below deck. The design of these systems delivers two square feet of filter area for one square foot of tank size. Vacuum Bi-Flow filters can even be fabricated in modular sections for use on projects with limited access. |
