Six Flags Fiesta Texas

The Challenge

Famous amusement park Fiesta Texas was built on land formerly used as a rock quarry. The original idea for the park was to focus on the southern Texas culture and include a variety of entertainment, rides and water features. ADG was enlisted to design/build a new waterpark enabling future growth and complete an additional 5.4 acre expansion.

The Solution

ADG designed and constructed a Texas-themed waterpark including The Texas Tumble raft ride and multiple open and enclosed tube slides for all ages and thrill levels. The original waterparks 1,200 sf White Water Canyon adventure river is heavily themed and includes wave channels, white water rapids, waterfalls, grottos, geyser islands and cavernous switchbacks along its journey.

Created with future expansion in mind, ADG also completed additional attractions in 1999, including the Texas Treehouse, a 4,000 sq/ft multi-level children’s play area, and the Lone Star Lagoon; a massive WaveTek® wave pool that is shaped like the state of Texas. It is surrounded by an extensive array of artificial rock work as well as natural rock. A cascading waterfall is designed as to gently fall into the pool. Ten waterslides including a 4-man raft ride completes the waterpark.

The Result

With more than 60 amazing rides, slides, shows and attractions, Fiesta Texas has been a favorite family destination since 1992. Part of the Six Flags group, Fiesta Texas attracts thousands of visitors every year for its exciting combination of thrills, spills and splashes for kids of all ages.
