ADG was given the task of designing and supplying a high capacity wave pool with built-in operating cost savings.
The Solution
Waldameer’s “Giant Wavepool” was designed to hold a total capacity of 1,000 people, making it the largest wave pool in their market place. With ADG’s Wavetek™ wave generating technology, the Giant Wavepool at Waldameer Water World is capable of producing variable wave patterns reaching up to four feet high and features a unique peninsula-styled platform which divides the pool and enables operators to utilize only one half of the wave pool – saving on both energy and cost!
The Result
With their new Giant Wave Pool premiering at their Memorial Day opening, Waldameer WaterWorld experienced their highest guest volume in the parks history. The sale of season passes rose by 15% with the increase in guest traffic being attributed to the new wave pool expansion which also helped to alleviate overcrowding.
