The Challenge
Under new ownership, Ocean Breeze underwent a major expansion and engaged ADG to design and build new rides and amenities that would set them apart from the competition. ADG completed this work in two phases to design, build and install a million gallon wave pool and to create a 3-acre Adventure River expansion with a South Pacific theme.
The Solution
After completing the Runaway Bay Wave Pool in phase one, ADG then designed and built a 1,000ft long/15ft wide South Pacific themed Adventure River. As the first attraction guests see upon entering the park, the river entices visitors to spend the day drifting among waves, past waterfalls, and through exciting geysers.
The addition of a Dive-In Movie Theater provides hours of entertainment for guests making Ocean Breeze stand apart from its competitors and increasing time on premises and per cap spending! In order to accommodate Ocean Breeze’s continued visitor growth, additional restrooms, deck areas and food & beverage outlets were crucial in the design of this much needed expansion.
The Result
Ocean Breeze, scheduled for a Memorial Day opening, was completed on-time and on-budget. This was the second expansion in a phased master plan for continued updates throughout the park.
