The Challenge
Design and build a multipurpose aquatic center as a part of a new, ground-up YMCA facility that would be easily and cost effectively operated and maintained, as well as address the following needs of accommodating the varied aquatic needs of it’s multi-generational clientele, providing space for fitness and learn to swim programs and incorporate area for entertainment and and play with family appeal.
The Solution
ADG designed and built a cohesive aquatics center that addressed all the varied needs of the YMCA’s diverse clientele. The lap swimming pool and large spa area with hydrotherapy pool allows for multi-functional programming options, while a zero-depth activity pool with water basketball, spray features, a toddler slide and lazy river current channel provides entertainment value and revenue generating opportunities through event bookings.
The Result
The facility opened to the public Spring 2015 and has been a complete success, the functional layout and innovative features have brought in the community and keep them renewing their membership year after year.
